Astrology Training & Background
In her practice, Amy uses the whole sign house system and applies traditional rulerships of the planets and houses. She assesses planetary condition from a traditional perspective with empathy and uses outer planets and asteroids to shed deeper insights. Her forecasting practice uses advanced Hellenistic timing techniques like circumambulations of the bounds, annual profections, ascensional times, solar returns, and transits as taught by Demetra George. Secondary progressions are also taken into consideration.
Amy’s modern astrology studies began in 2018 with teachers Shirley Soffer and John Marchesella in New York City.
In the summer of 2019, Amy traveled to Greece with Demetra George to explore ancient Greek mystery religions. This trip inspired Amy to study Hellenistic astrology with Demetra. In 2023, Amy completed Demetra George’s rigorous Hellenistic astrology certification diploma program and has had the great honor of practical mentorship under Alecs Garrett.
